Thanks to a training session conducted by Samuel Heimgartner, we are now able to perform simplified duplex explorations at the patient's bedside in the intensive care unit. The preset optimizations provided by Neuromobil allow us to carry out significantly more precise monitoring of neuro-intensive patients, for example in cases of vasospasms following subarachnoid hemorrhage.

The main tasks of Neuromobil include performing extracranial and transcranial ultrasound examinations of the cerebral arteries, as well as conducting EEG examinations (standard and sleep-deprivation EEGs). All examinations are carried out with consistently high technical quality and an excellent understanding of the clinical context. Neuromobil contributes significantly to the success of the practice, demonstrating both great technical and professional expertise as well as strong interpersonal skills in interactions with patients and staff.

Samuel Heimgartner has been a long-standing member of our clinic with outstanding expertise in clinical neurophysiology, especially in ultrasound diagnostics of cerebral vessels, as well as electroencephalography and evoked potentials. In addition, he is distinguished by his social skills, reliability, friendliness, and his proactive approach to projects and problem-solving.

Together with Dr. Anja Weck, neurologist at the Clinic for Intensive Care Medicine at the University Hospital Zurich, Samuel Heimgartner developed and established the course module "Neuroduplex for Intensive Care Physicians" for our ultrasound training week. This innovative training module fills an important gap in our educational program and has been received with great interest and enthusiasm by our course participants. We hope that this module will help improve the care of neuro-critical care patients in our clinic and other organizations.

Samuel Heimgartner (head of Neuromobil), formerly a medical-technical assistant at the Neurology Clinic of the Cantonal Hospital Aarau, served as head of the ultrasound laboratory and performed countless duplex examinations. He was also frequently deployed in the intensive care units and on our stroke unit. He played an important role in training our physicians. He continuously advanced his education through events both domestically and abroad. He is very experienced, highly skilled, works efficiently and responsibly, and maintains calm even in hectic situations. His friendly and balanced manner often helped to resolve or prevent tensions.
